The Pilates Method
The Pilates Method is a series of controlled exercises engaging your mind and body. The focus is on the abdomen, back, shoulders and buttocks to fully support the torso, enabling the rest of the body to move freely. Various pieces of equipment, developed by Joseph Pilates, are used to create uniformity in strength, flexibility and coordination.
Regardless of your current fitness level, from someone who rarely exercises to a fitness enthusiast, the Pilates program can be your primary mode of body conditioning and injury prevention. You will learn effective breathing and body alignment, improve concentration, balance and coordination. Safe and effective conditioning for our clients is given by certified Pilates instructors who complete a rigorous certification program. Sessions are closely supervised in private and small groups.
