Yamirys Li

Originally from Cuba, Yamirys Li developed a love for movement early in life through swimming, diving, and rhythmic gymnastics. This deep-rooted passion for physical activity evolved into a lifelong commitment to health and wellness—and ultimately, to helping others feel and move better through fitness and nutrition.

After earning a technician degree in computer programming in 1991, Yamirys moved to the United States with her family. It was there that she shifted her professional focus to physical education and, in 2005, became a certified Pilates instructor under Dr. Habanova’s method. She later deepened her training with a classical certification through Power Pilates and has since accumulated nearly 20 years of teaching experience at Pilates Studio 1.

Yamirys holds certifications from the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), reflecting her commitment to the highest standards in the profession. Her ongoing education includes specialized training in Pilates for Seniors, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Neuroscience and Exercise, and Re-Balance techniques.

Her teaching is thoughtful, informed, and highly personalized, allowing clients of all ages and abilities to build strength, increase mobility, and improve their overall well-being. Yamirys believes in the power of Pilates not just as a form of movement, but as a pathway to a healthier, more connected life.
